New Delhi: The Modi government has launched the official portal for the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PMVBRY), a flagship scheme aimed at boosting private sector employment. Announced by PM Narendra Modi on Independence Day, the scheme was officially rolled out by Labour & Employment Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Monday.
Jobs + Social Security
Under this scheme, youth getting their first private sector job will receive direct financial support from the government along with social security benefits. The program is expected to generate employment for over 3.5 crore young Indians, with an allocation of ₹1 lakh crore.
How It Works
- Benefits apply to jobs created between August 1, 2025 and July 31, 2027.
- First-time employees must generate a UAN through Umang App using face authentication.
- Employers can register once at pmvbry.epfindia.gov.in or pmvbry.labour.gov.in.
A Step Towards Viksit Bharat
Mandaviya said:
“PMVBRY is a historic step towards building a developed India. It will not only create jobs but also ensure social security for the youth.”
The Union Cabinet approved the scheme on July 1, 2025, with a sanctioned allocation of ₹99,446 crore.
